Home video therapy tested to fight depression after spinal cord injury
NCT ID NCT03711760
Summary
This study tested whether providing therapy through video calls on an iPad could effectively treat depression in people who recently had a spinal cord injury. It involved 75 adults in California who were within a year of their injury and had mild to moderate depression. The goal was to see if this convenient, at-home approach could reduce depression and anxiety symptoms and improve life satisfaction by overcoming common barriers like transportation and stigma.
