Video doctor visits for surgery prep: just as safe as In-Person?

NCT ID NCT04920604

Summary

This study tested whether a video call consultation with an anesthesiologist before scheduled surgery is as effective as a traditional in-person visit. Researchers compared the two methods for 172 patients to see if they collected the same quality of information about patient health, medications, and surgical risks. The goal was to understand if telemedicine is a safe and convenient alternative for pre-surgery planning.
