First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether telemedicine follow-up helps doctors adjust heart failure medications more effectively than standard in-person visits. Eighty adults with newly diagnosed heart failure with reduced ejection fraction will be randomly assigned to either remote monitoring or usual care. The main goal is to see if the telemedicine group achieves better medication optimization after six months.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- telemedicine-based follow-up
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could show that remote monitoring and virtual check-ins help doctors fine-tune heart failure medications more quickly and safely than standard in-person visits.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage trial with only 80 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. Telemedicine may not work as well for patients with limited digital skills or access.
