Virtual checkups after surgery: just as good as the real thing?
NCT ID NCT07420114
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study will compare patient satisfaction between telehealth (video or phone) and in-person follow-up visits after minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. About 100 women will be randomly assigned to one of the two follow-up methods. The goal is to see if virtual visits are as satisfying as traditional clinic visits, which could save patients time and travel.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that telehealth follow-up is just as satisfying as in-person visits, potentially making postoperative care more convenient and cost-effective.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study focused on satisfaction, not safety or long-term outcomes. Results may not apply to all surgeries or patient groups.
