Telehealth checkups after Weight-Loss surgery: a pilot study
NCT ID NCT04497259
First seen Jun 03, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether video calls and online tools could replace in-person follow-up visits for people who had weight-loss surgery (bariatric surgery). The goal was to see if this approach could keep patients engaged and reduce costs, especially for those living far from the hospital. Only 7 adults participated before the study was stopped early, so results are limited.
