Phone-Based program aims to rescue exhausted stroke caregivers

NCT ID NCT05304078

Summary

This study is testing a telehealth program designed to support family members caring for someone who has had a stroke. The program helps caregivers learn skills to manage the survivor's needs while also taking better care of their own physical and mental health. It is delivered by a nurse over the phone or video call and includes a resource guide. Researchers are comparing this program to a simpler information and support group to see which is better at improving caregivers' well-being.
