Telehealth screening could catch silent glaucoma before it steals sight
NCT ID NCT06854198
First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests whether using telehealth tools like eye scans and pressure checks can find undiagnosed glaucoma earlier than just giving people information. Researchers will enroll 2,000 high-risk adults—including Black people 50+, Hispanic people 65+, and people with diabetes 50+—who visit a community health center. The goal is to see if remote screening leads to more diagnoses and better eye health outcomes.
