Phone-Based lifeline tested to fight opioid overdoses

NCT ID NCT05832879

Summary

This small pilot study tested whether a special telehealth platform could help people with serious opioid addiction get to their first treatment appointment. The program was designed for people who had survived at least one overdose. Researchers checked if using the platform made it easier for participants to start and stay in medication-based treatment and if it helped reduce future overdoses.
