Remote eye exams: new program aims to stop diabetic blindness in underserved communities

NCT ID NCT05773495

Summary

This study is testing a coaching program designed to help urban health clinics better use remote eye screening technology for their diabetic patients. The goal is to increase the number of patients who get their annual diabetic eye exam, which is crucial for catching vision-threatening problems early. The program is being tested in clinics that serve low-income Black and Latino communities to see if it can overcome common barriers to care.
