Video calls ease the heavy burden on dementia caregivers

NCT ID NCT05338710

Summary

This study tested a program called STELLA-FTD, which uses video calls to connect family caregivers with trained guides. The goal was to teach caregivers strategies to manage difficult behaviors in their loved ones with frontotemporal dementia and to reduce their own stress and burnout. The small, completed study aimed to see if this tech-based support was helpful and acceptable for caregivers.
