Summary

This study tested the TearCare system, a device that applies heat to the eyelids to unblock oil glands, in 235 adults with dry eye disease. The goal was to see if it safely improves tear quality and eye comfort compared to another device called LipiFlow. The trial measured changes in tear breakup time and gland secretion scores.
