Natural oil tested to ease painful wisdom tooth recovery

NCT ID NCT07180498

Summary

This study is testing if a mouthwash made with tea tree oil works as well as a standard chlorhexidine mouthwash to help people heal after having a wisdom tooth pulled. Researchers will compare how well each mouthwash reduces pain, facial swelling, and jaw stiffness over 7 days in 54 patients. The goal is to see if the natural tea tree oil can be a good alternative to the commonly prescribed rinse.
