First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study tests whether a mild, non-invasive brain stimulation technique called tDCS can reduce tobacco cravings and help people smoke less. About 100 adults who are dependent on nicotine will receive either real or fake tDCS sessions alongside standard counseling. The goal is to see if this approach offers a drug-free way to manage cravings and support quitting.
