First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a gentle brain stimulation technique called tDCS can reduce pain and improve daily function in women with fibromyalgia. Researchers wanted to see if a person's tendency to respond to placebo affects how well the treatment works. 100 women received either real or fake tDCS sessions, and their pain levels were measured before and after treatment.
