Zapping seizures away: home brain stimulation trial for epilepsy
NCT ID NCT05673915
Summary
This study is testing whether gentle electrical stimulation applied to the scalp can reduce the number and intensity of epileptic seizures. Researchers are enrolling 30 adults with epilepsy that hasn't been well-controlled by medications to try at-home stimulation sessions. The goal is to see if this non-invasive approach can safely help manage seizures when drugs alone aren't enough.
