First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether traditional Chinese medicine oral liquids and mouthwashes can reduce severe mouth sores caused by radiation therapy in head and neck cancer patients. About 118 adults aged 18-65 who need radiation will be randomly assigned to receive the Chinese medicine or a placebo. The goal is to see if this approach lowers the rate of painful, high-grade mucositis and shortens recovery time.
