Existing drug tested as potential brain injury treatment

NCT ID NCT06790095

Summary

This study is testing whether an existing, FDA-approved drug can help people recover better from a severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). The drug is being used 'off-label,' meaning it's not yet approved for TBI. Researchers will compare recovery in a small group of 26 adults who receive the drug versus a placebo, measuring disability, brain scans, and blood markers over six months.
