New tools to spot hidden TB in expectant mothers
NCT ID NCT07419568
Summary
This study aims to find better ways to screen pregnant and new mothers for tuberculosis (TB) in Guinea-Bissau, where the disease is common. Researchers will test new screening tools, including a stool test and a computer program to read chest X-rays, during routine prenatal checkups. The goal is to gather evidence to improve TB detection and care for mothers and babies in similar settings worldwide.
