Summary

This study tested whether adding a quick TB test (Xpert Ultra) to standard care helps find tuberculosis earlier in young children hospitalized with severe pneumonia. Over 2,500 children in six high-TB countries took part. The goal was to see if early detection and treatment reduces deaths within 12 weeks.
