First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looks at whether using shockwave therapy on the leg artery before a heart valve replacement (TAVR) can lower the risk of bleeding and other complications. About 100 people with severe aortic stenosis and heavily calcified arteries will take part. The goal is to make the procedure safer and reduce the need for extra surgeries.
