Ear zaps reveal secrets of body sensing
NCT ID NCT06240026
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at how a mild electrical stimulation on the ear (called taVNS) changes the way healthy people sense signals from inside their body, like pain, heartbeat, and temperature. Fifty healthy adults took part in two experiments to measure these effects. The goal was to better understand how this stimulation works, not to treat any disease.
