Summary
This study looks at whether a minimally invasive heart valve replacement (TAVI) is just as safe and effective when done in a center without on-site emergency heart surgery, compared to one with it. About 657 people with severe aortic stenosis who are too high-risk for traditional surgery are taking part. The goal is to see if experienced doctors can perform TAVI safely without needing a surgery team immediately available.
