Could fixing your heart change your gut?

NCT ID NCT07052071

Summary

This study aims to understand if a common heart procedure (TAVI) to fix a narrowed valve changes the types of bacteria living in a patient's gut. Researchers will enroll 40 patients and analyze their stool and blood samples before and after the procedure. The goal is to learn more about the connection between heart health and gut health, which could inform future treatments.
