Summary

This study tests whether taking taurine, a common amino acid supplement, can improve blood sugar control, cholesterol levels, and inflammation in people with type 2 diabetes. Researchers will give taurine or a placebo to 94 adults with diabetes for 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if taurine lowers a key blood sugar marker called HbA1c.
