First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a newer type of brain scan (Tau-PET) helps doctors diagnose Alzheimer's disease more accurately than the standard scan (Amyloid-PET). Researchers will enroll 120 adults aged 50-85 with mild memory problems or early dementia. Participants will receive both scans, and doctors will compare how their diagnoses and confidence change over time.
