Scientists map brain protein linked to memory decline

NCT ID NCT04251130

Summary

This study uses specialized brain scans to understand how a protein called tau relates to memory problems in older adults. Researchers will scan 150 people, some with normal memory and some with mild cognitive impairment, to see how tau buildup connects to brain structure changes over time. The goal is to better understand the biology of memory loss, not to test treatments.
