Summary
This study tests a new surgical technique called taTME for rectal cancer, where doctors remove the tumor from the bottom up using a scope through the anus. It aims to improve surgical quality and reduce complications compared to standard laparoscopic or robotic methods. The study involves 100 adults with early to moderately advanced rectal cancer. The main goal is to see if this approach can achieve complete tumor removal safely.
