Summary
This completed pilot study tested whether a special diet made from tartary buckwheat could help lower blood pressure in 130 adults with mild hypertension. Participants added the buckwheat formulation to their regular meals and were compared to those receiving standard care. The study also looked at how the diet might change gut bacteria, which could play a role in blood pressure control.
