Smart scans aim to target deadly prostate cancer spread

NCT ID NCT05924672

Summary

This study is testing whether a special type of imaging scan (PSMA PET) can help doctors better select patients for a targeted radiation treatment called Ra-223. The treatment is for men whose prostate cancer has become resistant to hormone therapy and has spread to their bones. Researchers want to see if using this scan to pick patients leads to better outcomes, like longer survival and fewer bone complications.
