New mapping technique could spare cancer patients harsh side effects
NCT ID NCT03968679
Summary
This study is testing a more precise way to deliver radiation to patients with head and neck cancer. Doctors use a special scan to map which lymph nodes are at risk, aiming to avoid radiating healthy areas on the opposite side of the neck. The goal is to control the cancer while significantly reducing side effects like dry mouth and swallowing problems.
