New Two-Pronged attack on tough prostate cancers before surgery

Summary
This study is testing whether a new drug, capivasertib, combined with standard hormone-blocking drugs, can shrink aggressive prostate tumors before surgery. It is for men with high-risk prostate cancer that has a specific genetic feature (PTEN loss) linked to treatment resistance. The goal is to see if this pre-surgery treatment leaves little to no cancer behind, potentially leading to better long-term outcomes.
