Precision radiation aims to spare patients from harsh side effects
NCT ID NCT06990542
Summary
This study is testing a more targeted form of radiation therapy for men with intermediate- or high-risk prostate cancer. It aims to deliver a strong dose to the tumor while using a lower dose on the rest of the prostate, which may protect nearby organs like the bladder and rectum. Researchers will compare this focused approach to standard whole-prostate radiation to see if it reduces side effects like urinary and bowel problems without compromising cancer control.
