Nerve block during hernia surgery may cut pain

Summary

This study tests if a nerve block given during laparoscopic hernia repair can lower pain after surgery and help patients recover faster. About 100 adults having elective hernia surgery will take part. Half will get the nerve block, and half will not. Researchers will measure pain levels and how quickly patients can get up and move around.
