Pain block showdown: one side or two for gallbladder surgery?

NCT ID NCT07513012

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at two ways to give a pain-relieving injection (TAP block) to people having their gallbladder removed by keyhole surgery. One group gets the injection only on the right side, the other gets it on both sides. Researchers will track how long it takes before patients need extra pain medicine, how much pain medicine they use in the first 24 hours, and whether they feel sick or vomit. The goal is to find out which method works better for recovery.
