NCT ID NCT05288842

First seen May 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether special brain cells called tanycytes have trouble moving a key hormone (leptin) in people with Alzheimer's disease or frontotemporal dementia. Researchers will measure leptin levels in blood and spinal fluid from 102 participants. The goal is to understand early changes in these diseases, not to test a treatment.
