Scientists probe Tamoxifen's hidden immune effects in breast cancer

NCT ID NCT05056857

Summary

This study aims to understand how long-term tamoxifen treatment affects certain immune cells called neutrophils in breast cancer patients. Researchers will collect blood samples from 290 women with estrogen-positive breast cancer who have been taking tamoxifen for different lengths of time. By comparing these samples, they hope to learn if changes in these immune cells contribute to treatment side effects or affect how cancer progresses.
