Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called TAK-861 in 105 adults with narcolepsy type 1, a condition causing severe daytime sleepiness and sudden muscle weakness (cataplexy). Participants took either TAK-861 or a placebo daily for 3 months. The main goal was to see if the drug helps people stay awake during the day and reduces cataplexy attacks. Researchers also checked safety and quality of life.
