First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a urine sodium test to guide water-pill (diuretic) dosing helps people hospitalized with acute heart failure recover faster and have fewer heart-related events. About 556 adults with heart failure will receive either standard care or a tailored diuretic plan based on their urine sodium levels. The goal is to improve survival, reduce hospital visits, and maintain kidney safety.
