Erectile dysfunction drug could slow Alzheimer's progression

NCT ID NCT07172815

Summary

This study is testing whether tadalafil (commonly known as Cialis) can help slow down Alzheimer's disease in its early stages. Researchers will give 244 people with mild memory problems or early Alzheimer's either tadalafil or a placebo pill daily for one year to see if it's safe and if it helps maintain thinking skills. The main goal is to check for side effects, while also measuring whether the drug helps preserve memory and cognitive function over time.
