Could a common ED drug boost chemo for stomach cancer?

NCT ID NCT05709574

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 02, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether adding tadalafil (a drug used for erectile dysfunction) to standard chemotherapy can help shrink stomach or gastroesophageal junction tumors before surgery. Ten adults with resectable cancer will receive tadalafil alone for two weeks, then combined with chemo for about eight weeks. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and reduces immune cells that block the body's ability to fight cancer.
