First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a second thyroid hormone (T3) to the standard T4 medication can improve lingering symptoms like fatigue and brain fog in people with hypothyroidism. About 60 adults aged 18-70 with normal thyroid blood tests but ongoing symptoms will receive either T4 plus T3 or T4 plus a placebo for 6 months. The goal is to see if the combination therapy leads to better quality of life.
