Scientists Re-Engineer Patients' own immune cells to fight advanced cancers
NCT ID NCT03686124
Summary
This study is testing a new personalized treatment for adults with advanced solid tumors that have returned or stopped responding to standard therapies. Doctors take a patient's own immune cells, modify them in a lab to better target their cancer, and then infuse them back. The trial is assessing the safety of this approach and whether it can shrink tumors, either alone or combined with another immunotherapy drug called nivolumab.
