Syphilis secrets: can bacteria hide without symptoms?

Summary

This study looks at how syphilis bacteria spread in women and men who have sex with women only, even when there are no visible sores. Researchers will collect swabs and blood samples from 480 participants to see if the bacteria are alive and can be passed to others. The goal is to better understand transmission and improve prevention.
