First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study collects fluid from the joints of 149 adults undergoing surgery for osteoarthritis or pre-arthritis. Researchers will analyze the fluid for biomarkers and genetic clues that could help detect the disease earlier and guide better treatments. The goal is to understand how osteoarthritis starts and progresses, not to test a new therapy.
