First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study is following 50 people who have or will receive the Synergy Disc, an artificial disc for the neck, to see if it safely reduces pain and improves function. Researchers will measure neck disability, arm and neck pain, and any device-related problems over 12 months. The goal is to confirm the disc works well in everyday medical practice.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Synergy cervical spine disc replacement device
What this could lead to
If successful, this could confirm that the Synergy Disc is a safe and effective option for treating cervical disc disease, reducing pain and improving neck function.
What could go wrong
This is a small, single-site observational study, not a randomized trial. Results may not apply to all patients, and there is always a risk of device-related complications or failure.
