Summary
This study is testing whether a daily supplement containing probiotics and prebiotics (called synbiotics) can help prevent preterm birth in pregnant women at high risk. Researchers want to see if improving the balance of healthy bacteria in the vagina early in pregnancy can help women carry their babies to full term. About 400 women with a history of early birth will take either the supplement or a placebo pill daily to compare outcomes.
