NCT ID NCT06615986

First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether a synbiotic supplement (a powder containing a natural sugar from human milk) can increase helpful gut bacteria in healthy adults. One hundred participants aged 18 and older who eat a typical Western diet and take no regular medications will take the supplement twice daily for about 8 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in gut bacteria and blood markers to see if the supplement improves gut health and heart-disease risk factors.
