First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This small study tests a special supplement called SCV09, which combines probiotics and prebiotics, in 30 people with Alzheimer's disease. The goal is to see if it can improve troubling behaviors like agitation or mood changes. Participants take the supplement for a period while their behavior, daily living skills, and thinking are tracked. This is an early pilot study, not a cure trial, and aims to gather safety data and hints of benefit for a larger future study.
