Summary

This study developed and tested a new program to help adolescents and young adults (ages 15-29) with advanced cancer better manage their symptoms. The program combines standard symptom management techniques with therapy focused on finding meaning and accepting difficult emotions. Researchers worked with patients and caregivers to design the program, then tested it with 40 young adults to see if it was helpful and practical.
