From clinic to home: study tests shot vs. IV for gut disease
NCT ID NCT06381518
Summary
This study looked at whether switching patients with stable Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis from receiving their infliximab medicine through an IV at a clinic to giving themselves a shot at home was effective. It followed 38 adult patients for 24 weeks after the switch to see if the drug levels in their body stayed adequate and if their quality of life and satisfaction changed. The goal was to understand if the more convenient self-injection method could reliably control the disease.
